Human trafficking, the buying and selling of others for profit, doesn’t just happen in poor, developing countries. It happens here too. This presentation will cover the basics – what is sex trafficking, what drives it, how does it happen and most importantly, what can we do to make a difference and bring an end to modern-day slavery.
Christine Erickson, Director of Children-at-Risk Ministries at Grace Church in Eden Prairie leads their anti-trafficking team and has previous experience leading a local transitional home for sexually-exploited women. She is well connected with anti-trafficking organizations in the area and seeks to mobilize the community-at-large to effectively engage and make a positive impact.
