Congressman Erik Paulsen

This was an extremely informative and interesting meeting with our guest speaker Congressman Erik Paulsen. Paulsen is a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means. Paulsen focused on explaining his policy positions concerning the excise tax on medical device companies, human trafficking, tax reform, and employee ownership in corporations. One main point he mentioned concerned inversion; companies putting their headquarters overseas to escape tax rates in the U.S. He talked of his campaign for congressman this year. Very intriguing for many members!

We also had a member from the PROP shop come in and encourage Rotarians to give diapers or donations to the "no bare bottoms" campaign for children without diapers. Great!
