When: Thursday, Jan. 19, from 7-8 p.m.
Where: Chanhassen Recreation Center, 2310 Coulter Blvd., Chanhassen.
This is an ideal opportunity to learn more about becoming an exchange student for a summer or school year or hosting an inbound student. What will happen at the meeting?
- Rotary Youth Exchange students, including our very own Ale Pena Gonzalez, will share about why they chose Rotary Youth Exchange and what they have enjoyed so far.
- A panel of host parents, including our very own Craig Blixrud, will talk about benefits they received from being a host family and questions they had going into the experience for the first time.
- The North Star Youth Exchange Coordinator, Melanie DeLuca, will talk about both the year-round and summer outbound programs and any inbound questions people might have.
- Attendees can sample food from Slovenia, Thailand and Paraguay which are the countries where this year's Chanhassen, Chaska, and Eden Prairie RYE students come from.

The purpose of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Project is to increase positive relationships and provide education and community education. The North Minneapolis Rotary Club has worked tirelessly to accomplish their purpose. They are delivering peace and conflict resolution projects to communities, Rotary clubs and other service clubs. Healthy neighborhoods are the key to providing peaceful resolution to conflict. They have collaborated with other Rotary and non-rotary clubs to host events and projects.
