At Eden Prairie High School Senior Academic Awards & Scholarships event on May 19, Audrey Allen received the Mary Lou Terwilliger Memorial Scholarship from the Eden Prairie AM Rotary Foundation. Ms. Allen will be attending California Polytechnic Institute where she plans to major in pediatric occupational therapy.
The Mary Lou Terwilliger Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of the life and legacy of Mary Lou Terwilliger, a compassionate and dedicated individual who made a lasting impression on her community. This scholarship aims to support a graduating senior who exemplifies the same spirit of service, commitment, and excellence that Mary Lou embodied throughout her life. The criteria the scholarship committee used to select the recipient was to identify a person who was a well-rounded student that was extensively involved in extracurricular activities and community service, maintained a high GPA, and demonstrated leadership, responsibility, and a strong desire to make a positive impact in the community.
