Notes From October 6th

Rotary Candidate Forum

At our last meeting, candidates running for the Eden Prairie City Council joined us to share their views for the City of Eden Prairie. Ryan Miske, PG Narayanan, and Lisa Toomey discussed various questions posed by Rotarians. Questions ranged from affordable housing to the new light rail. See below for a few highlights.

PG Narayanan:

PG expressed his love for the Eden Prairie Community and his involvement in Eden Prairie. He is working hard for re-election. PG discussed his thoughts on economic recovery to business hit hard by COVID-19 and diversity in Eden Prairie.

Lisa Toomey:

Lisa talked about her involvement at Eden Prairie Organizations, such as the PROP Shop Treasurer, President of the Eden Prairie Crime Prevention and Criminal Apprehension Fund, and many other organizations. She is supportive of the LTR and is working with the police chief to get the city ready for the new station.

Ryan Miske:

Ryan discussed his priorities of keeping Eden Prairie safe by creating a good relationship between the police and the community. He expressed his views on keeping taxes low and bringing in new business to Eden Prairie. He hopes to be able to help the local business hit hard by the economic impacts of COVID-19.
