Notes From August 3rd

JENIFER LOON

CLUB ENGAGEMENT ASSEMBLY

May be an image of 1 personJennifer Loon joined us on August 3rd to discuss our Eden Prairie Rotary Club and what we can do as members to invest ourselfs into the club. Jenifer is the new Rotary Club president for 2021 and was quite excited to talk about our goals and plans for the upcoming year.

Jenifer started off the conversation by talking about goals and what she would like to see from our community. The first goal she presented during the meeting was about the mission, that mission being what is it that we are doing and why is it that we're here. The next goal Jenifer presented for the club was about fundraising and how as a club we should fundraise more. The goal for the Rotary Club is to have just 2 fundraisers throughout the year. The last goal Jenifer proposed during the conversation was just about engaging in the club, whether that be coming to more meetings, helping out in the community, or giving back to the club, participating as a member is key to the clubs success.

Later in the meeting members stepped in to share what they would like help with or things they would like to do in this upcoming year. Ideas such as becoming more environment friendly, possibly joining up with the city of Eden Prairie and putting together an Ep eco expo. Another idea shared from members was a teen fest. Holly shared that she loves the presence of teens and what better way to get them ingaged in the community then putting together a teen event. If you would like to help or have any future ideas dont be afriad to reach out.
