Manny Villafaña - Living Legend of Medicine
On September 18, 2018, Eden Prairie Rotarians traveled to the Edina Rotary Club to hear from Manny Villafaña, one of Minnesota's most successful entrepreneurs. In 2006, the World Society of CardioThoracic Surgery named him the “Living Legend of Medicine,“ for his pioneering leadership of St. Jude Medical, CPI/Guidant, ATS Medical and his latest venture, Medical 21, Inc. Beyond his dedication to medtech, Manny is a well known philanthropist and lecturer at Harvard, Universities of MN, Iowa, Notre Dame, Miami of Ohio, Stanford, Brown, St. Olaf, and others. Governor Dayton proclaimed October 27 as “MANNY VILLAFAÑA DAY.” Thanks to everyone who made the trip!
