Sandhya Gupta: Learning Must Go On Sandhya Gupta shared the work of their non-profit (Aavishkaar USA, a 501 (c ) (3)) in bringing science and math education to remote rural areas in India. They accomplish this through classroom training, camps, and training fellows in their teaching methods. They currently serve 70 schools with 400 teachers and 10,000 students. COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on their activities, limiting them to virtual programs with 100 hours of online sessions available for students and 100 hours of online sessions available for teachers. They have three student online camps. COVID-19 has an even more devastating impact on the areas they serve as food has been in short supply and many have been out of work and travel is extremely difficult. Bev was born in Michigan and received her undergraduate degree from Albion College and graduate degree from University of MN. She has been married to Brad for forty years and they recently celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Alaska. They have three children and two grandchildren. In addition to her Eden Prairie legal practice she and Brad own and manage some real estate holdings. Bev and Brad both worked at Control Data Space Systems Division and they co-founded a technology company that they eventually sold. Bev is an active volunteer in Eden Prairie and loves boating and skiing.
